BIOPACKAGING TAX INCENTIVES
Favourable EU law. Producers pay 3.70 €/kg natural resource tax for plastic packaging, while the packaging made of bioplastics has the same tax rate as packaging made of wood, paper and cardboard or other natural fibre raw materials – 0.24 €/kg, i.e. The natural resource tax is by ~ 94% smaller than the tax for classic types of packaging.
